Starting with telecommunications and moving on to office automation systems long before the acronym “IT” was widely used to describe a career path, I have a long and diversified career in technology.

Exploring PC telecommunications and its role in business long before the internet was widely used led me to public speaking and writing on both business and technology issues.

Back in 1990, wrote my first article for a regional business journal on integrating technology into the average business. The article on Computerized Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) explained how the average business could use this technology as a system of information gathering and storage, as a tool for customer service.

Through teaching, and use of my professional websites helped many small business people integrate technology into their lives and business on a limited budget. Sustained and expanded my areas of teaching by delivering a high quality product.

Over a ten year period was a part time community college instructor at two different campuses of Delaware Tech, as well as Wor-Wic (Salisbury, MD), with a very high percentage of repeat students who were eager to take follow up courses.

Currently engaged in the next wave of challenges with the integration of Electronic Medical Records into a complex mix of business and technology issues.

Hope to use Suite101 to help business people integrate technology into their lives and business as a coach and mentor.

... The world is moving so fast that there are days when the person who says it can't be done is interrupted by the person who is doing it.
